Eibar Women enjoy a fine start to the campaign
With nine matchdays played, the ladies team are sitting in sixth spot in the Second Division
SD Eibar Women have made a strong start to the season in Group 2 of the Second Division, where they are currently flying high in sixth with the same points as fifth-placed CD Aurrera de Vitoria, having claimed five wins and slipped to four defeats so far this term.
The Armeras have enjoyed an upturn in results over recent weeks in a run which has seen them win three of their last four to propel them into the higher echelons of the league standings.
This sequence began on 12 October, when they claimed a 3-1 away triumph against Pauldarrak E.F.K.T. Four days later, Eibar slipped to a 2-1 reverse in Vitoria against Gasteizko Neskak KE, before returning to winning ways on home soil against Aurrera de Vitoria. Last weekend saw the Armeras extend their winning streak, as they staged a stirring comeback to run out 3-2 winners over Burgos outfit, Nuestra Señora de Belén.
With four matchdays remaining before the halfway point of the season, Eibar go marching on and now boast a hefty eight-point cushion over the relegation zone.
