Eibar slip to undeserved 1-0 defeat at hands of clinical Getafe
Mendilibar's men tried everything to breach the visitors' backline but failed to convert their chances
Eibar succumbed to a 1-0 home defeat against Getafe at Ipurua in the sides' LaLiga Matchday 34 encounter. The Armeros deserved more from a game that they dominated, particularly in the second half, but the hosts failed to put their chances away and a very disciplined and clinical Getafe performance saw the visitors claim victory.
The winning goal came in the 22nd minute, when Mathías Olivera put the Azulones into the ascendancy with a well-placed header that flew past the helpless Marko Dmitrović. After going behind, the Armeros kept plugging away and carved out a number of chances, but their attempts to conjure up an equaliser ultimately proved unsuccessful.
