The Armeras slipped to a one-goal defeat in a game overshadowed by the wind
SD Eibar Women succumbed to a 1-0 reverse against second-placed EDF Logroño in an encounter played under light rain and driving winds, which made for tough playing conditions.
In a clash which was very short on goalscoring opportunities, Logroño got their noses in front in the first half following a move involving three players down the right flank, which culminated in a powerful effort that flew past the helpless Yessi.
The second period got underway with Alonso shooting high over the bar, but it was the hosts who were dominating proceedings. The La Rioja-based outfit saw one of their efforts strike the crossbar, whilst the Armeras had the final chance of the game in a goalmouth scramble, but there were to be no further goals as the home side ran out 1-0 winners.
