Double representation of SD Eibar in the finales of the Basque Cup

The women’s first team and the Division of Honour youth team (male) play in their respective finals tomorrow

SD Eibar will have a double representation tomorrow, Saturday, 11 June, in the Basque Cup finals: the women’s first team and the Eibar Urko (male) youth team that plays in the Division of Honour.

The women’s team will play their final away from home against Añorga KKE at the Rezola ground in a game that starts at 18:00 h.

Añorga is a well-known rival for the gunsmiths, since the teams have met twice this season in Group II of the Second Division and on both occasions the gunsmiths won (3–0 and 1–3). In the league, Eibar finished tenth, away from the relegation zone, and Añorga fourth.

To reach the final, Félix Recio’s team has beaten Erandioko Betiko Neskak, Pauldarrak and Bizkerre FT in successive rounds.

Eibar Urko, for its part, will play the final tomorrow at 17:00 h in Unbe against Danok Bat from Bilbao, a team that has finished third in Group II of the youth Division of Honour. Eibar Urko finished ninth, with 42 points.

On the road to the final, Eibar eliminated Hernani, Indartsu and Santutxu.

During this season, the team coached by Iban Fagoaga has finished as runner-up in the Villa de Portugalete Tournament, eliminating Real Sociedad and Deportivo and losing the final on penalties against Athletic Club (Bilbao) and has won the Mutxiren Omenaldia Tournament in Bergara after beating Real Sociedad 2–0.
