Dos Santos: Winning away at Sevilla would be really significant

Eibar travel to the Sánchez Pizjuán on Saturday on the back of three straight victories

SD Eibar defender Mauro Dos Santos insists that overcoming Sevilla on Saturday at the Sánchez Pizjuán would be "really significant" for him and his teammates.

Speaking after training at Atxabalpe, Dos Santos recognised that Sevilla, "are a great team with some very good players and coaches, who have real quality". "We'll go there and do our jobs, look to play our game and try to put them under pressure on their own patch".

"We've made a very strong start to the second half of the campaign. It'll be a totally different game to the Granada one, but it'll be a very special one to be involved in. Their team is full of good players, they've got a solid side. They know what they're all about and they'll look to put us under pressure, all the more so with them being at home and in front of their own fans".

"It's the sort of game in which you have to be focused for the full 90 minutes, hope that it's our day and that they have an off day. We've shown how we can put in good performances, not just at home but on the road too".

With regards to his chances of being handed a starting berth in Seville, he stated that, "I won't know until Saturday whether I'll start the game. It's a decision for the coach and if I'm part of the starting XI, then all the better".
