Dani García undergoes osteosynthesis to fourth metacarpal in right hand

The midfield man will be available for the clash against Málaga on 25 February

SD Eibar captain Dani García today underwent osteosynthesis to the fourth metacarpal in his right hand, and according to the club's medical department, he looks likely to be available for Eibar's Ipurua meeting with Málaga on 25 February.

The Armeros' skipper suffered the injury during yesterday's game against Granada and is only set to miss Saturday's trip to Sevilla, for which he is suspended after having accumulated a number of bookings.

The operation took place in San Sebastián and was carried out by Dr De la Fuente. The midfielder is now to rest for several days, before returning to full training next week, when he will wear protection which allows him to train and feature in games.

Meanwhile, Iván Ramis, who was forced off during the second half of yesterday's win, has strained the rectus femoris in his left leg and is a doubt for Saturday's clash against Sevilla.

Elsewhere, CD Victoria's Imanol Sarriegi, who has featured for the first team this term, has also undergone osteosynthesis, in his case on the scaphoid bone in his left hand and he is set to be sidelined for around three weeks.

This information was provided by IMQ, SD Eibar's official medical provider.
