REPORT: Eibar failed to kill off Albacete in the first half and ended up with a draw (1-1)

Mario Soriano's goal in the first half was cancelled out by Albacete in the second half

Eibar failed to capitalise on the chances they had in the first half to secure a win and ended up drawing 1-1 against Albacete.

Joseba Etxeberria's side showed off their attacking prowess in the 11th minute by scoring from the first chance they had at their disposal. Mario Soriano, unmarked, received an assist from Aketxe and scored his second goal of the season with a low right-footed shot that went just inside the post.

Albacete was proving to be a tricky opponent and were very attentive to the duels and second balls that they could take hold of and continued to do so throughout the first half, although with little danger in front of the Eibar goal.

The Armeros opted for fast ball movement and speed in their actions to reach the opponent's area and threatened throughout.

Jon Bautista, who received the trophy for the best player of LaLiga Hypermotion in the month of October, was very combative and had several chances in the 26th, 31st and 38th minutes to increase his team's advantage.

The clearest, however, came in the 43rd minute with a penalty on Bautista himself that saw Stoichkov’s shot saved.

Albacete's equalizer came in the 67th minute with a powerful right-footed shot from outside the area by Agus Medina that flew into the top corner. Just a minute later, Arbilla prevented Albacete from taking the lead when he cleared a shot from Quiles, who had beaten Luca, for a corner.

The last minutes were a back and forth with both teams looking for the victory, but the scoreboard did not move again and the match ended with a share of the points.
