CaixaBank becomes SD Eibar's official sponsor until 2020
As a part of the strategy launched by the institution six years ago to become recognised as the football clubs' bank
CaixaBank and Sociedad Deportiva Eibar have signed a sponsorship agreement which will see the financial institution and the club work together for the following three seasons, with the bank acting as the Armeros' official sponsor and main financial partner.
SD Eibar board member, Joseba Unamuno and Badiola came together at the club's offices to put pen to paper on the agreement, which runs until the end of the 2019/20 campaign. Meanwhile, as the club's main financial partner, CaixaBank is set to offer season-ticket holders favourable terms on a wide range of financial products and services.
Unamuno declared that the club is "really satisfied" after securing a deal with a "strategic partner", noting that "it's an agreement that benefits both parties". The club director went on to point out that CaixaBank is "an institution that shares our values and essence because it's a friendly organisation which is financially robust, has the ability to innovate and is socially responsible".
For his part, Badiola echoed Unamuno's comments about the significance of the partnership, which will involve "the institution being there to support SD Eibar and their fans in yet another historic season for the club, which once again takes its place in the top tier of the professional game. This agreement also serves to boost CaixaBank's commercial strategy, which features a commitment to the Basque Country and Eibar as model locations".
As a result of its relationship with SD Eibar, CaixaBank will benefit from a package featuring exclusive branding rights across the club's various sporting facilities, as well as benefiting from advertising on its social media channels.
Meanwhile, the financial institution will be offered exclusive client services, such as hospitality packages and exclusive experience days, including the chance to take to the club's pitches for a football match or attending private events to meet members of the first-team squad, as well as deals on official merchandising.
CaixaBank, the football clubs' bank
Six years ago now, CaixaBank launched a strategy to become the football clubs' bank. After becoming SD Eibar new sponsor, the institution now has agreements in place with 12 Primera División outfits and 11 Segunda División sides.
The aim of this initiative is to make the most of this new commercial opportunity to increase brand recognition whilst attracting clients and building up loyalty with existing customers in what is an increasingly competitive market. Through its sponsorship deals with sports organisations - mainly with football clubs - CaixaBank is making strides in generating business by offering clients attractive experiences and exclusive benefits.
Since the programme's inception, CaixaBank has issued 190,000 bank cards through the football clubs it sponsors, has attracted 15,000 monthly salaries and has financed 35,000 season tickets.
