Bad afternoon for hosts as Eibar suffer 4-0 defeat to Celta

The Armeros were caught out by Cabral's goal with just over quarter of an hour played

SD Eibar were this afternoon on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo in a game in which the home side failed to ever play any of their football. The overriding feature of the opening 45 minutes was the success enjoyed by the visitors on set pieces.

Juan Carlos Unzué's charges forged ahead with just over quarter of an hour on the clock when Gustavo Cabral glanced home an inswinging free-kick. Shortly afterwards, Pione Sisto doubled Celta's advantage, with his free-kick delivery finding its way through a crowded penalty area and into the corner of the net.  The Armeros continued to plug away, but it was Celta who struck again when Pablo Hernández hooked the ball home to make it 3-0 and put the visitors firmly into the driving seat

In the second period, José Luis Mendilibar turned to his bench in an effort to alter the course of proceedings, but the Armeros rarely managed to threaten Rubén Blanco's goal.  With just over 15 minutes to play, Daniel Wass rifled home the Vigo outfit's fourth of the game to cap off a tough afternoon for Eibar.
