Álvaro Tejero: “We go into the end of the season in good shape and with a good feeling”

The Eibar defender has a hunch that he will score a goal “at an important moment”

Álvaro Tejero has said the team is “looking ‘very good’ as we move into the final part of the season. He said: “We're in a good moment and we have to make the most of it.”

Speaking at a press conference following Wednesday's training session at Ipurua, the Eibar defender confessed that he has “a hunch” that his first goal of the current season “is going to come at an important moment”. “I've been thinking about it for a while now and I hope that's the case,” he added.

Press conference quotes

“We have been training well for a while, and we hope that we can achieve a run of results away because that is what is costing us.”

“I think the standings have been tight from the start until the end. We have to focus on ourselves, and if we are playing how we want to play, we will have more opportunities to win the game.”

“It’s a very similar situation (to last season) in that we arrive at the final stretch of the season with the opportunity to go up. But we don’t think about previous years. What has happened has happened, but this year feels different and we go into the final games with a different feeling, and I think this is good for us heading into the final stretch.”

“We have four games remaining but for us it is one. What matters to us is this weekend. We have to fight, and we believe in the work that we are doing. I believe we are in a good moment and we have to make the most of it.”
