Activities aplenty for SD Eibar's official supporters' groups

The club boasts 34 official supporters' groups and a Federation of International Supporters' Groups

As the LaLiga season draws to a close, the Armeros' supporters' clubs are stepping up the number of events they're organising in their efforts to get right behind the team.

For Monday's Basque derby against Athletic Club, the Peña Eskozia La Brava supporters' club presented Ander Capa with the  2016/17 Player of the Season award , an accolade which for a number of years now has been presented by members of the group alongside the club's president down on the Ipurua pitch. This format is part of an effort to improve the links between the group members and the Eibar players.

This week there's no let-up in the activities as the first-team fixtures come thick and fast. Tomorrow, Thursday, will see the club's Federation of International Supporters' Groups mark the team's trip to Deportivo Alavés by taking part in a gathering with Alavés fans and supporters' clubs. The event, which is set to feature the traditional exchange of gifts, will kick off at 17:00 at the iconic Toloño bar, which is home to the Peña Oficial de Eibar Vitoria – Gasteiz supporters' group. After the members have exchanged gifts, attendees will pose for a photo in front of the Vitoria-Gasteiz green sculpture in the Virgin Blanca square, before both sets of fans head over to Mendizorroza for the game.

For tomorrow's fixture, the Federation of International Supporters' Groups has received the club's backing, with the club laying on a 54-seater bus for the group's members.

The activities organised by the peñas are set to continue on into the  weekend, with the club's Federation of International Supporters' Groups  set to host their counterparts from Leganés on Sunday. As is fast becoming a tradition, the Eibar fans will present their guests with a carved butt featuring the club badge along with other institutional gifts.
