The match began with Tenerife imposing their game with the ball. They tried for the first time in the 4th minute, taking advantage of a set-piece play after a foul by Elena Valej on Amani. Eibar started a bit nervously in the opening minutes but continued to defend well against the balls reaching Astralaga's area.

The opening minutes were intense in the first phase of the match, although Eibar struggled to reach the opponent's area. The clearest chance came from a set-piece in the 7th minute after a foul on the captain, but the goalkeeper punched the ball away effectively. A dangerous attack in the 11th minute by Tenerife ended in a corner kick after a good cutback by Alimata Belem in the area. The corner kick ended up in Astralaga's hands.

Tenerife had several approaches to the area, but all were well defended by Eibar. Eibar continued to lack spark offensively in the first phase of the match, despite their strong defensive solidity, which prevented the Canary team from scoring despite several shots in the first quarter of an hour. Eunate Astralaga had work to do, making a spectacular save in the 23rd minute on the ball that came closest to crossing the goal line. Five shots on target and seven corner kicks in just the first half-hour of the match were not enough for Tenerife to unsettle Eibar and open the scoring.

Iara recovered a ball inside the area after a shot attempt and a collision between Opa Clement and Tenerife's defense, but the ball went over the crossbar. Camino tried again just before halftime, from the edge of the area, but the local defense blocked the ball effectively.

The match resumed after halftime with the score at 0-0 and the first substitutions by Iñaki Goikoetxea: Amaia Iribarren and Sara Martín replaced Elena Valej and Iara Lacosta. The home team had a clear chance in the 52nd minute, but a stumble by the Canary number 10 inside the area prevented the first goal. Eibar continued to suffer from Tenerife's multiple attacks during this minute, though fewer in number, they were more forceful. However, as the first hour of the match passed, the score remained tied.

In the 65th minute, a shot by Elba after a rebound almost became the goal that would open the scoring. Minutes later, Eibar requested a review of a play after a handball by Amani inside the area. After a lengthy review, the referee decided there was no handball. A solo run by Carmen Álvarez, which ended in a weak shot that reached the goalkeeper, gave Eibar a last glimmer of hope in the 85th minute. The substitutions worked well for Eibar, and just when it seemed Eibar had settled for a draw, a run by Sara Martín with an impeccable pass to Carmen Álvarez opened the scoring in favor of Eibar.

A second away victory for an increasingly in-form Eibar, though they suffered against Tenerife's relentless attacks on Astralaga's goal. Next week, Eibar will play their first derby of the season at Ipurua against Real Sociedad.
