SD Eibar, within the framework of its Criminal Compliance and Anti-Bribery Management System (“the System”) focused on crime prevention, has an externally managed, confidential Ethical Channel that allows for the possibility of reporting even anonymously. This Ethical Channel is accessible to all internal and external stakeholders and its purpose is to communicate suspicions of non-compliance with the implemented System, as well as with the regulations applicable to the Entity. SD Eibar is deeply committed to integrity and ethics as one of its corporate values, which includes zero tolerance for retaliation against whistleblowers acting in good faith.
The essential principles governing this Ethical Channel are:
- Guarantee of confidentiality of the identity of the informant, the investigated party, and any person or third party involved, as well as the handling of information and the investigation conducted.
- Protection of the privacy and dignity of the individuals involved.
- Priority and urgent processing.
- Thorough investigation of the facts, carried out by specialized professionals.
- Guarantee of the presumption of innocence and the right to defense of the affected parties.
- Guarantees of action by adopting necessary measures, including disciplinary actions.
- Protection against retaliation for whistleblowers acting in good faith.
- Possibility of anonymous reporting.
This Ethical Channel should not be used as a means to report general complaints, claims, matters related to Human Resources, or to share opinions that do not fall within the scope of the System. It should also not be used to report mere interpersonal conflicts that do not constitute violations of the aforementioned System.
The person responsible for the Ethical Channel, appointed by the Board of Directors, is the Oversight and Control Body, which is also responsible for the supervision, control, and improvement of the System.
Following up on your reports may be relevant for various reasons:
- To track the status of your report and check if actions are being taken.
- To provide additional information to your report.
- To stay in contact with the system manager, as they may request additional information to resolve the issue or take appropriate action.
