A 6th-minute Takashi Inui strike sealed victory for SD Eibar in this evening's friendly fixture against CD Leganés in Lerma, Burgos.

Eibar looked assured throughout and enjoyed the upper hand against a Leganés side who fought hard to impose themselves on the game and caused the Armeros numerous problems.

The only goal of the night came after some superb link-up play between Jota and Inui which resulted in the Japanese international firing home with an angled effort from inside the area.

The Pepineros looked to hit back and poured forward in search of an equaliser, but they came up against a solid Eibar backline which afforded them few clear sights of goal. In spite of the Armeros fine rearguard action, Leganés still had several chances to have restored parity.

Nevertheless, it was Eibar who enjoyed the best openings, as they looked dangerous on the counter-attack, where the wide players in particular were creating havoc, with Bebé, Jota and Inui heavily involved in breaking forward and linking up the play.

In the second period, the tempo of the game dropped and chances at either end were at a premium.

The most clear-cut opening of the half came on 79 minutes as Darwin Machís was put through one-on-one against Yoel. Eibar's Galician-born goalkeeper came out on top, denying the Leganés forward with a brilliant save.
